In a critical moment in the jungles of Betla, the educated, independent, and broad-minded woman Rita briefly met the brilliant and charismatic Tiger Project Officer Rajarshi Basu. After returning to Kolkata, Rita sent a thank-you letter to this rescuer at an estimated address. The salutation 'Sobinoy Nibedon' in that letter became the cornerstone of this remarkable novel. This letter marks the beginning of subsequent letter exchanges.
