During the lockdown, two residents, Mitdru and Sneha, are living a life of isolation in two different apartments in New Town. “Kusumbij” is another Rabindra-inspired novel. Shortly after Rabindranath’s death, during the turmoil of World War II, a British surveyor named Shuddhashil, who is also a Rabindranath admirer, arrives in Birda village for land surveying work. In Birda, Shuddhashil falls in love with Tamalika, who is grieving the loss of Rabindranath. Thirty years later, during an eco-village project in Birda, Ishita, a civil engineer, searches for traces of Tamalika’s memory and existence. This connection is not one of reincarnation. Simultaneously, while struggling to stop the land acquisition for the project, Ishita forms a complex relationship with Bhattacharya, who fiercely opposes her efforts.
