Detective stories are not always about murder or homicide. The key to mysteries often lies in various other incidents - fraud, bank robberies, smuggling, counterfeit currency operations, kidnappings driven by the lure of hidden treasures, and more. Solving such diverse mysteries is the passion of Somnath Sen, a brilliant mathematics student from a wealthy but orphaned family, who works as an amateur detective. Sometimes alongside Inspector Lalu, sometimes as the duo of Somnath and Inspector Lalu, and at other times with the mischievous schoolboy Gattu.
This book is a collection of crime stories that unfold around us. Along with mystery stories, it also includes supernatural or paranormal tales of a different flavour. With its writing and language quality, the stories progress rapidly, keeping readers gripped with the excitement of unravelling crimes.
