As far as time period is concerned, the journey of this sketchbook covers the years spanning between 1998 and 2000. Here on every page the strokes of the artist dance in its own rhythm. Beside lies a unique rough layout of a children’s’ park in this sketchbook. And what seems more significant is that this sketchbook becomes instrumental to delve deep into the artistic world of Jogen Chowdhury as his personal perception about art is simultaneously being inscribed here along with the continuity of his strokes: ‘ My art-work grew from mud and soil. Beside they contain inner feelings and subtle emotions.’ His self-assessment gets ourselves prepared to perceive the extent of his paintings.
