"Jay Jayanti’s current expedition is to Yakshapuri. However, this Yakshapuri is not imaginary. It is located in the desert terrains near Matanomadh and Nakshatrana in Kutch Pradesh. Many of their relics can still be found here today. Among gods, demons, yakshas, rakshasas, gandharvas, and kinnaras, only the gandharvas and kinnaras have managed to sustain their existence till today in Mana Village and Kinnaradesh. However, the yakshas have entirely become extinct.
Yakshas are also referred to as ‘Yak.’ ‘Yak’ is their deity. They were immensely benevolent, philanthropic, honest, and virtuous by nature. Therefore, the wealthy individuals of earlier times, driven by superstitions, used to send a child, either five or nine years old, into a secluded room through fire sacrifices and rituals. This was done so that the child, after death, would become a ‘Yak’ and guard their wealth and treasures, eventually handing them over to the rightful heir. Yakshas were known to never break trust.
This ‘Yak’ or Yakshabhumi remains enigmatic to this day. This narrative unfolds centered around it."
