Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare

One of Shakespeare's best-loved comedies, Much Ado About Nothing is about two pairs of lovers, Benedick and Beatrice and Claudia and Hero. The former pair enjoy verbal battles and revel in the eloquent expression of their scorn for each other while Claudio and Hero engage in a more traditional love affair. Beatrice and Benedick are tricked into admitting their love and Claudio is tricked into believing Hero unfaithful to him the night before their wedding. The journey to living happily ever after proves to be an arduous one for the characters, but for readers, it provides unmitigated delight and hilarity.
