The 'peasant boy from Barisal', Sardar Fazlul Karim, became a philosopher upon arriving in Dhaka. But his distinct worldview had already begun to take shape even before he came to the city—Dhaka merely gave his thoughts a place to settle. His awareness and consciousness were centered solely on human liberation and revolution. He lived underground, giving up society and family life, and also spent 11 years in prison. As a result, he saw life from a collective perspective. Enriched by a wide array of experiences, the lessons from his life are deeply valuable for future generations.
