Mohul Sukhar Chithi by Buddhadeb Guha [Hardcover]

In the novel "Mohulsukhar Chithi," popular writer Buddhadeb Guha seems to have reinvented himself. In this novel, written in an innovative style, he combines a travel story, a love story, and epistolary literature. This epistolary novel is composed of letters sent from Swamohulsukha, famous for its manganese, to Bhutramain. The letters are intended for a woman involved in an extramarital affair, who does not respond, yet through them emerges an intense, deep, warm, and intimate picture of a forbidden relationship. At times, it seems that love in the novel is just a façade, as is the travel narrative, and the author's main goal appears to be different. Although the letters are addressed to the woman, they seem to transcend personal boundaries. The letters address some urgent, thought-provoking, and contentious issues about life, the world, and contemporary times, and point out the hidden cracks and inconsistencies of modern life, as well as many wrong attitudes.
