In nearly half a century, the number of stories written by Atin Bandyopadhyay is countless. From high-end literary magazines to obscure small journals, his stories are scattered everywhere like mustard seeds. Many of their names the author himself has forgotten. Much of his continuous writing has been lost over time. Yet, at least around two hundred stories still live on in the writer's mind and the readers' memories, like legends. These stories, preserved in the frame of memory, are compiled into this collection of fifty stories. He has been honored with the Sahitya Akademi Award.
