Prasad Sengupta
Prasad Sengupta was born in 1948. He was a professor by profession and retired from the Physics Department of Presidency College in 2008. Besides writing science books, he also translated works of literature such as ‘Foreign Poetry’ (1983) and ‘Bishop Heber's Kolkata’ (1990). His literary works include ‘Conan Doyle: Life and Literature’ (2009), and he edited ‘Old and Miscellaneous Topics’ (2015). His primary area of interest is the 19th-century Bengal and Bengali culture.
