Parthasarathi Chakraborty was born on January 18, 1941, in Krishnanagar. He completed his education at Krishnanagar Government College and Presidency College, and later earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta. He began his teaching career in 1964, first at Maulana Azad College, and later at St. Xavier's College and Krishnanagar Government College. Although Parthasarathi Chakraborty has not been writing literature for a very long time, he has quickly become a beloved and indispensable name in Bengali children's literature.
