Satyendranath Majumdar was born in 1892 in Tangail, Mymensingh district, Bangladesh. His father was Mahimchandra Majumdar. Under the guidance of Acharya Brajendralal Shil, Satyendranath focused on his studies. After moving to Kolkata, he visited Belur Math and received initiation from Sri Sri Ma. With the encouragement of Swami Saradananda, he began writing the biography of Swami Vivekananda.
He participated in the independence movement under the leadership of Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das and worked as an associate editor of the "Narayan" magazine edited by Deshbandhu. He was also very close to Subhas Chandra Bose. In 1922, when "Anandabazar Patrika" was published, he joined its editorial department and later served as its editor for almost 20 years. Additionally, he was associated with the magazines "Swaraj," "Satyayug," and "Arani."
In 1951, he traveled to Russia and Europe. He wrote under the pseudonym "Nandivringi." Some of his notable works include "Vivekananda Charit," "Swadhinatar Dabee," "Stalin-er Jivani," "Rupyuddha," "Amar Dekha Russia," "Swairinee" (novel), and the translation of "Jawaharlal-er Atmocharit."
Satyendranath Majumdar passed away on October 16, 1954.
