Amiyo’s eyes fall ill. He is prescribed high-power glasses. Through them, people do not become clearer—instead, the forms of the non-human grow disturbingly vivid. Amiyo begins to see those who are no longer alive. He starts witnessing human deaths. Word spreads. People around him grow afraid of him.

Amiyo is a minor house staff member at a television channel. Branded as inauspicious, he loses his job. Pubak, Sudeshna, Shruti, and Sujoy—despite their reluctance—hire a car and take Amiyo with them to West Midnapore for a colleague’s wedding. Nothing was planned to go wrong. Yet that very night, everyone is forced to return to Kolkata. But they cannot.
