Within every human being lies a hidden beastly instinct—some people, all of a sudden, turn into beasts, but a beast can never become human! We tend to judge others by what we see on the outside. Yet, every person has another self within, unseen and unknown. Without truly knowing or understanding someone, we shouldn’t form opinions—and even after spending an entire lifetime with a person, can we ever really claim to know who they are?

Still, it’s true—the closer we get to someone, the more their real mask begins to slip, isn’t it?

In society, there are many seemingly good and respectable people—most around fifty years of age, some older, some younger. The novel Ashareen portrays these very individuals—those who roam around wearing grand masks of virtue, hiding their darker selves beneath a façade of goodness.

Because of such people, our families and society often find themselves cornered—on the streets, at the office, on the bus, or even within their own homes. It is because of them that family members often face distressing and shameful incidents. And perhaps, to unmask these people, every household needs to give birth to an Ashareen—someone brave enough to expose the truth.

Characters like Mizan Mahmud, Mokarram Master, and Reza Haider—all respected figures in society, some past fifty, some younger—have been brutally murdered. But why? What drove such gruesome acts? To uncover these reasons, one must read this novel.

Set against the backdrop of modern-day society and its unsettling realities, Ashareen delves into a series of emotionally charged, deeply sensitive events. It is a story interwoven with emotion, love, passion, complex relationships, murder, and the contradictions of our social fabric.
