তার গ্ল্যাডিওলার নীচে তখন আকাশ ভাঙছে। সাবেক ফেয়ারলন প্লেস তার যাবতীয় বিপন্নতা উপুড় করে দিচ্ছে ওই সফেন ড্রট বিয়ার মাগে। কুয়ো ভাদিস সাকি? কোন বাইলেন, ইউনিট কমিটি, রেসকোর্সে রক্ত ঝনঝনিয়ে সে এখন ছুটবে? অসহ্য সদর স্ট্রিট তখন তার পাখনার খাঁজ ভেঙে তুলে আনছে ফ্রেডি মারক্যুরির শাশ্বত বিভ্রান্তি। অসভ্য জোৎস্নায় ভাসছে চরসের ঘ্রাণ।

সঞ্চালিকা বলছেন - ‘ডার্লিং মিউজ, বাদামি ট্র্যাশের এই শহরে আপনাকে স্বাগত।’

Beneath his gladiolus, the sky was breaking apart. The old Fairlawn Place was spilling out all its perils into that softened draught beer mug. Quo Vadis, Saki? Through which by-lane, which unit committee, which racecourse ringing with blood will he now rush? Unbearable Sadar Street was then lifting up the eternal confusion of Freddie Mercury, breaking open the ridges of its wings. The savage moonlight floated heavy with the scent of hashish.

The host was saying, “Darling Muse, welcome to this city of brown trash.”
