Falguner Gandha by Sukanta Gangopadhyay [Hardcover]

Sukanta Gangopadhyay was born on January 21, 1961, in Uttarpara, Hooghly. His paternal ancestors were from Bihar, while his maternal ancestors hailed from Dinajpur, Bangladesh. He completed his school and college education in Uttarpara and studied photography. He is the head of the technical department at a photo-printing company. Sukanta began writing during his student life, and his first story was published in the magazine "Desh," earning him widespread recognition.

He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Ananda-Snoacem Sharad Arghya for the best novel in 1999 and 2002, the Ananda-National Insurance Sharad Arghya for the best novel and best short story in 2003, and the Dettol-Anandabazar Sharad Arghya for the best short story in 2006. Additionally, he was awarded the Galpomela Puraskar in 1997, the Sahityasetu Puraskar in 2001, the Sutapa Raychoudhury Smarak Puraskar from the Bangla Academy in 2005, the Shailajananda Janmashatabarsha Smarak Puraskar in 2007, the Taradas Bandopadhyay Sahitya Samman in 2013, and the Gajendrakumar Mitra and Sumathanath Ghosh Smriti Puraskar in 2014.
